Cargo Services

General Air Cargo

General Air Freight Service is available on all scheduled NAC flights throughout Alaska, year-round. General Service shipping generally takes up to six days to arrive at your hub destination see general rates. Oversized items are subject to commodity fees and usually ship within 10 to 30 days.

Priority Air Cargo

In a rush? Our next flight guarantee with Priority Freight Service ensures your cargo is on the next scheduled flight. Priority freight must be delivered to NAC at least four hours before the scheduled flight. If we are unable to get your priority freight on the next scheduled flight we will refund you the difference.

Express Air Cargo

Take advantage of our Express Freight Service and your freight is guaranteed to ship on the second flight. If we are unable to get your priority freight on the next scheduled flight we will refund you the difference between the Express rate and the General rate. Read information on rates.

NAC Connect

Freight services beyond NAC’s air network! NAC Connect provides our customers freight pickup and delivery services to and from locations outside of NAC’s traditional network via truck, train, ship, barge, and any other mode necessary. NACPAC

Take advantage of our fast, small package delivery service. We’ll make sure it’s on the next flight or we will refund your payment. Shipment must arrive at NAC at least two (2) hours before the scheduled departure time. NACPAC service is available between Anchorage and select destinations. Hazardous Materials are not available for NACPAC shipment.

Through Service

Shipping to a village outside of our hubs? No Problem. Northern Air Cargo has a network of secondary air carrier partners to ensure your shipment makes it to its ultimate destination. The rate for our Through Service is included in your total charge. We do not provide door delivery services, but can arrange local pick-up and delivery services by a third party agent.

Dangerous Goods

Dangerous Goods are items or substances that when transported by aircraft are a risk to health, safety, property or the environment. We understand that shipping and identifying of Dangerous Goods can be a challenge. NAC is here to assist you in meeting the shipping requirements with the help from our Dangerous Goods Specialists, located onsite or by the phone at 800-727-2141.

Charters

Carlile MyConnect

Through a partnership with Carlile, Bethel NAC customers can now access MyConnect, a service that makes it easier to get items from national retailers and bring them into Bethel for pickup at the local NAC station, with more NAC locations to come.

Charters in Alaska or Contiguous USA?

If you are shipping a large volume of cargo, Charter Services from NAC may be your answer. Our Boeing 737-300 and Boeing 737-400 are available for charter services to our scheduled service locations, Alaskan communities that can accommodate a jet aircraft, and throughout the Contiguous USA.

Other Services

Consolidation Services

On Charters, Flagstops, and General Freight, NAC will accept freight from multiple vendors and organize it into one shipment. In conjunction with our General Service, this can help you prevent paying multiple minimum charges and ensures you are paying the lowest per-pound rate possible by having different vendors deliver freight to one destination in daily or weekly shipments.

Flag Stops

Rerouting of a scheduled flight to accommodate our customers needs can be accomplished with a Flag Stop. Flag Stops are ideal for freight volumes or products that are critical in nature, as well as partial loads where a full charter is not practical. Pricing varies by destination and volume. All Flag Stops must be scheduled in advance.

Pick-up and Delivery Service

NAC Customer Service Agents can arrange local pick-up and delivery services in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Bethel, and some of our other hub destinations. Rates and availability vary by location. Our Anchorage, Bethel, and Fairbanks hubs work with a myriad of local trucking companies, and we can add their charges to your NAC air waybill. Ask our Customer Service Team for more information.
