Northern Air Cargo is pleased to announce that it has entered a Gold sponsorship agreement with APU Nordic ski champion and Olympic hopeful Tyler Kornfield for the 2013/2014 season.

Tyler, a lifelong Alaskan and UAF Mechanical Engineering graduate, became the youngest ever National Champion in cross-country skiing when he won the classic sprint in Anchorage, Alaska in 2010 and repeated it in 2012 in Rumford, Maine. Tyler joined the world-class APU Nordic Ski Team in 2013 and continues to build on his success and his dream to represent the U.S. at the Olympics.

“We’re thrilled to sponsor Tyler and support his efforts to achieve his personal and professional goals in the sport. Already a two-time National Champion among other substantial achievements, Tyler is well poised for a successful season and we’re confident his focus on hard work and training will be rewarding,” said NAC marketing and communications manager, Blake Arrington.

Tyler Kornfield remarked, “The community support for skiing in Alaska is beyond compare. There are many actions that go into achieving national and international success. They include training, coaching, travel, equipment, and nutrition among many others and, support from sponsors like Northern Air Cargo makes the financial side possible. I am happy to have them with me on the trail.”
